Background
EAP – Equine Assisted Psychotherapy – intervention model for EAP without riding.
The model integrates activities with the horses in the arena followed by processing outcome of activities in the arena.
Therapeutic intervention with the aid of horses:

Horses, being prey animals, depend on the accuracy with which they asses their surroundings and their ability to identify discrepancies through interpreting body language.

Horses are herd animals with distinct hierarchy and roles. This enables meaningful individual and group interaction roles and authority.

Horses live in the "here and now" and react accordingly as in biofeedback.

Work with horses allow us to experience leading and motivating in a new challenging way which offers special opportunities for improved communication.
The Course is Designed for
Therapy, coaching, education, organizational consultants, riding instructors, therapeutic riding instructors, social work and psychology students during the master's degree.
Guidance
Daphna Shwartz - Director of the E&D Center, a multidisciplinary treatment center. Develops and handles the "Horses Lead Change" method in Israel.
In each part of the course program there will be two guest lectures according to the material studied at that time.
Guest lecturers: Sigal Ibn Ezra - clinical psychologist, Orly Barak - couple and family counseling in combination with horses, Dr. Ronit Ilon - trauma and post-trauma treatment, body-mind workshops facilitator, Dr. Dor Schwartz - veterinarian.
General Information
Duration: 8 weeks, once a week.
On Monday between 9:00 – 14:30
(60 academic hours)
Expected day of commencement: 4.11.2024.
No. of participants: 10 – 12
Certification of completion will be given by "Horses Leading Change".
